Im looking to paint a bike. Assuming the proper primers were applied and conditions ideal, would say black be more difficult than white? How about neon colors... are they easy to get even coats with? As a beginner which colors tend to be troublesome vs easier? or does the color not matter?Are some colors more difficult to spray paint than others? Which colors will be easier to coat evenly?

It doesnt matter that much.
Youre going to need to at least double coat it anyway - probably triple for best evenness since your painting rounded surfaces etc.
The hardest thing to do is to cover black with either white or a very light color. (drastic color changes).
It is true that colors with more pigment in them (mid tone colors and darks) tend to cover better - the pigment has hiding power.
But in the end, unless its super dark now and youre changing to light, then dont even worry about it.

I've done a lot of painting and it's very easy to spray to much and then you have drips and runs. You can wipe if off, but if it starts to dry you might have to wait till it's all dry and then sand it a bit and retry.
