Can i use white spray paint as a base coat instead of primer?

im spraying my kids doll house. will it matter what color i use as a topcoat?Can i use white spray paint as a base coat instead of primer?
The primer is formulated to bond to the surface being painted so the paint will stick. White spray paint is not primer. It may look good for a while, but it will flake off and look like an amateur painted it. If you have the right primer, you can use any color topcoat you want.Can i use white spray paint as a base coat instead of primer?
