How does 'One Coat' paint such as Crown Solo work?

(or not work as the case may be) What is different about it's composition than regular emulsion? Does this change in ingredients have any relation to the lower quality finish that is created? How does 'One Coat' paint such as Crown Solo work?
it doesnt work thats just it .How does 'One Coat' paint such as Crown Solo work?
all i know is it is slightly thicker and they tell you how much should cover and area, if you put it on too thin they don't honor the guarantee
its called one coat. but you have to give it one coat four to five times.
I think you have mixed up the paint types in your question. Most one coat paints are oil based paints(e.g. gloss finish) and not emulsion, which is water based. Although I have seen a one coat emulsion too.The thing is that emulsions have a different formulation to oil based paints. I believe the one coat paints have more colourant powder in them than standard finish paint. There is some loss of quality to the finish (on gloss paints) because of the thinker layer produced but they save time and most people cannot tell the difference.
don't buy it,,i is a waste of money.Use two coats or more of ordinary emulsion especially if you are covering a virgin wall or a dark colour.Harder work but you may have to do that in the end anyway.
