How long does it take Weatherbeater Latex semigloss paint to dry? we painted the patio one coat. 4 days sticky?

We painted the back patio with one coat. But 4 days later it's still sticky (not wet, just sticky to touch). We used Weatherbeater Latex semi-gloss paint. Any ideas on how long? We are in l.a and have had June gloom for 3 days and today was first sunny hot day.How long does it take Weatherbeater Latex semigloss paint to dry? we painted the patio one coat. 4 days sticky?
hi gilli

when you say you painted your patio do you mean a deck or a concrete floor? personally i would never use any latex paint on a horizontal surface. unfortunately you the state of california has a ban on any solvent based paints. in a lot of cased it is a real bad thing. no matter where anyone lives a latex paint or stain will not last on a horizontal surface. most people think that latex paint is dry in a matter of a few hours and everything is fine. well that is not the case at all. it can take days till it cures and i have found that if there is a lot of direct sun on it , it will stay sticky. being that you live in california im afraid you have no other choice and it won't be long till there will be a ban on solvent based paints everywhere. it is going to happen here in Canada in the next year or so i do have to ask though was this new paint? if it is old then it may not dry well. was the paint stirred completely? if not the driers will not work properly. was there any type of a sealer such as a thompsons water seal or anything like that applied previously? if there was then your paint will not penetrate or adhere properlyHow long does it take Weatherbeater Latex semigloss paint to dry? we painted the patio one coat. 4 days sticky?
What did you paint? If it was wood, it should dry soon, but if there is a lot of moisture in the air, it takes longer. If you painted concrete, you used the wrong kind of paint as concrete needs to be painted with concrete, porch and patio paint. It is different from regular house paint. Many times a sealer like Kilz is necessary to prepare the wood to take the paint and then you use the color.

That is a good paint and if you painted wood, it should take okay. But always put a sealer on anything you paint unless it was painted with flat paint before and even then it doesn't hurt.
It should have dried in a few hours, but if it has been damp or rainy that would slow things down. If you had good weather today it should be dry by the morning.
It actually takes exactly 3.5 days where you live.
