What is the difference between clear coat paint and candy paint?

clear coat is just that, clear paint with no pigment or color.

candy paint is a color base coat with many coats of slightly tinted clear coats over it each coat giving a little more depth %26amp; a little more color. for example candy apple is a gold base with many coats of transparent red like colored glass over it, you can still see a little hint of gold when you look straight at it but at an angle all you will see is the red. What is the difference between clear coat paint and candy paint?
clear coat is just that....clear. its used to make paint appear more glossy. candy paint usualy has additives like glitter or actuall grinded pearls and even gold leaf

candy just describes a high gloss bright paint that is used in custom paint jobs, clear is just what it says a paint with no color that covers the base coat (of whatever kind of paint you use candy or not) that protects the base paint and makes the car shiny.

Imagine putting a piece of glass to cover a picture that is similar to what a clear coat does.
Candy Paint is the high glossy paint used to make the color look like an apple like color
