Why is good one-coat house paint heavier in weight than cheap paint. i do know answer.?

hello there, good quality house paint is generaly heavier than cheep paint because there are more solids in them. the solids help cover and provide a longer lasting adhesion to the substrate. some solids in paint are metals, minerals, and even silicones. a tip, just because a paint says one coat, it may be better to do two depending on your current paint job. if your house or walls are in dire need of paint the first coat may not fully protect the surface. a second coat usually takes less paint and time and will add years of life to your paint job. drastic color changes usually require two coats as well.

hope this helps
