Do you have to wait for the paint to fully dry before you do a second coat?

I just painted my dresser drawers white. Will I have to wait for the paint to fully dry before going onto a second coat? How long will that take, about 2 hours? I also want to put a shiny coat on top of that, how long would that take to dry?Do you have to wait for the paint to fully dry before you do a second coat?
it depends on the temp and humidity of the room,,, if the paint is not dry enough, when you put on the second coat, it might peel off... i would recomend letting it dry overnight, but if your in a big rush,,, bout 3-5 hours should sufice, just go slow and be careful. it easier to go slow and not make any mistakes than having to re-sand and re-paint the spot...Do you have to wait for the paint to fully dry before you do a second coat?
You need to wait for the paint to dry, I would wait overnight before I would put the second coat on, lt and then put shiny coat on for over night.
let it dry over night.then second coat.make the 2nd.coat your shiny.good luck.unless the first coat did not cover well
You need to let it dry.

The directions on the can will tell you how long to wait.
