When you read instructions on paint primers it says after drying apply paint top coat.?

Do you have to paint as soon as its dry or can you wait till the next day ect. Is there any dis-advantage in waiting a day or two before applying the top coats. When you read instructions on paint primers it says after drying apply paint top coat.?
Yes, you can wait. You don't want to leave primer uncovered for weeks at a time, but a few days won't hurt anything. Most people, once they start a painting project, want to finish it ASAP, so the finish coat goes on as soon as the primer is dry. You'll be fine. Hope this helps. When you read instructions on paint primers it says after drying apply paint top coat.?
No they are basically saying to make sure it is dry before applying top coats. The only disadvantage to waiting would be if the surface gets oily or dirty from an adverse environment.
