Yes you absolutely can. Primer which is either epoxy or urethane based is completely compatible with another urethane product (clear coat). It would be no different then using a singlestage paint over your primer.





I'm not sure your intentions in doing so. The clear coat will give the primer UV protection so the sun does not wear it down but it may not give you the effect your after. If your considering a flat paint job I'd use some regular base with a flat clear, but at any rate if that's what you want to do you will have no problems.Can you clear coat over primer paint without a color coat on a vehicle?
