Oh boy, this is a tough one. I think you'll have to use a good primer--one that says ';stainblocker primer/sealer';...Like Kilz or something, THEN you can paint over it.

But my neighbor swears by some paint he gets at Menards (USA) called ';conco'; and he paints over everything, dirt, smoke, etc.

Good luck with the lime paint! How can i cover lime green paint in one coat in a bedroom?

um pay a carpenter and tell him how you want the room but pay him a less price they ask for tooo much!
walpaper
unless you wall paper you need a primer
You need to look for a ';high-hiding white paint'; at your paint store. Otherwise, you need to find a darker color. Use a paint roller that delivers a lot of paint to the wall and don't try to stretch the paint.
you would probably need to use a primer first and then paint over that.
There are only a couple of options. Use a slightly darker colour in the same colour palette and don't skimp on the amount of paint you apply. Or you can wallpaper over it but that's sooo time consuming. The best thing to do is prime your walls then paint with a light colour. The darker the colour the more coats you need.
i always prime first. but, aren't you also supposed to wait like, 24 hours in between coats or something? i never do that. i always finish it in one day.
You cant. You need to prime it, paint it and paint it again.
